Bitcoin (BTC-USD) investors have continued to pour money into Bitcoin Strategy ETFs since their launch back in Oct. Market participants have pumped over $1.59B into the ProShares Bitcoin Strategy ETF (NYSEARCA:BITO) and $69.6M into the Valkyrie Bitcoin Strategy ETF (NASDAQ:BTF). Capital flows continue to move into the bitcoin futures ETFs even while the underlying cryptocurrency has tumbled since the first crypto ETF was launched on Oct. 18 by ProShares. Since then, bitcoin is down more than 22%, and flows are starting to slow down. While BITO and BTF experienced a capital inflow boom when they launched, they have since subsided as each fund has seen progressively lower flows month after month. BITO’s Dec. inflows were 65% lower than its Oct. flows and BTF’s inflows in Dec. are 88% lower than its Oct. flows. See below a chart that depicts the monthly inflows for BITO and BTF.
