When scanned, the code takes first-time users to Coinbase’s promotional website, allowing them to claim $15 worth of free Bitcoin and existing users for a $3 million Bitcoin giveaway. However, the game’s estimated 117 million audiences crashed the app shortly after some users signed up for the free giveaway. The offer is valid until February 15, however many new users may have trouble redeeming their credit after Coinbase’s app crashed due to the huge influx of traffic. In fact, a company spokesperson recently revealed that the iconic QR code landing page got a whopping 20 million hits within just one minute of the ad airing.
