According to a press statement, the layer-1 blockchain structure based in Malaysia, Zetrix, and MIMOS Technology Solutions Sdn. Bhd. (MTSSB) have agreed to work together to develop and manage Malaysia’s blockchain infrastructure. The national blockchain infrastructure for Malaysia would be used by all tiers of government and the private sector, according to the release. Malaysia’s National Blockchain Infrastructure Zetrix was conceived and developed by MYEG, an e-government services provider and digital services firm, and it launched its Mainnet on April 15. To offer Web3-based services to the public and private sectors, the two parties would lead the creation of Malaysia’s national blockchain roadmap in collaboration with MTSSB. In addition to the Ministers of Economic Planning and Science, Technology, and Innovation of Malaysia, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob was present when MYEG and MTSSB inked an MOU. Faisal Ahmad, CEO of MTSSB, commented, “This collaboration will accelerate the development, deployment and take-up of blockchain related applications and services in both the public and private sectors.
